The first meeting of the Healthy Grandfamilies Program of Renick will be on Friday, March 8th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Renick Community Center on Huff Street in Renick. The goal of this group is to provide emotional and financial support and educational opportunities to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren and others who are in kinship care arrangements. Our speaker for this meeting will be Etta Thornburgh, with the TANF (Temporary Assistance Program for Needy Families) program for Greenbrier County.
